But the danger is far from over for Ariel, and Tristan and his K-9 friend are more than up to the task of getting to the bottom of who is after her.
Ariel has had a rough year, with her divorce, and then the death of her husband, she finds satisfaction in teaching the children in her class, and she genuinely cares for every one of them. I like how Tristan is there to help her out, he is a man devoted to his family and dedicated to his job. He and Ariel work together to determine why she is being targeted, and Tristan does everything he can to make sure that she is safe.
Ariel is independent and wants to do everything she can to give her baby a life that’s good. Tristan is a man of faith and integrity, and he and Ariel learn to trust one another, and their friendship grows as they spend time together.
Overall, a fantastic, fast-paced read that leaps right into the story, and is packed with action and suspense. I really liked Ariel and Tristan’s determination to fight for what is right. This was a riveting read that I just couldn’t put down, I am enjoying this series so much and I can’t wait for the next one!

I had previously heard many of my friend raving about Mr. Otte’s Failstate, so I just knew I had to give Numb a try. I had no idea what to expect, but I was blown away by the detail and intricacies in the world of Isolda and Crusader.
Numb plunged me into a dangerous new civilization, and from the very beginning I was hooked. It did take me a while to get a good grip on my surroundings, and understand the government and so on, but that didn’t slow me down.
This might just be me, but I thought there were strong similarities in this story to the early Catholic church, and how they had a strong voice in political matters, and how they would have people they believed to be heretics killed.
Overall, this was a great read, full of action and fast-paced adventure, very different from what I normally read. But I enjoyed it immensely, and would happily recommend it to people who love a wholesome, yet high stakes adventure.

I admired her faith, she it isn’t easy for her to have her life turned upside down and but she holds to her faith, and works to put away the people who are after her.
Overall, a fast paced read with well developed characters and a fantastic plot. I loved how Celeste and Jonathan got to know each other, and helped each other while they were working together. Celeste has a strong faith and is a good listener. I loved everything about this book, and it ends with a bang! You won’t want to miss this Inspirational Suspense!

empire in a deathbed challenge. Thornton has 6 months to develop a town along

he could make his father proud the way that his brother Bradford did, but he
determined to make his father proud before he passes. But he never counted on falling for a strong
willed, passionate, and beautiful German woman who challenges him to take a
stand and fight for his dream.
Elise is a hard working young woman, who isn’t afraid to stand up for herself. I love her unconditional love for her sisters, and that way that she challenges Thornton to be a better man, and give him encouragement and confidence. She brings out the best in Thornton. She is kind and compassionate, even to those who don’t always treat her well.
Thornton is a good man, he has more confidence than he thinks and even though life hasn’t been perfect, he’s had it relatively easy despite being in is brother shadow. Elise know how to encourage him and challenges him to think about things in a different way. He is drawn to her like a magnet, and they just “click” in a way he never has with anyone else.
Reinhold is a wholesome young man, sturdy and strong, he is a gentleman to the core of his being. I love is honesty and selfless love wanting the best of others. I hope he finds happiness someday! I think he was one of my favorite characters in this book.
This book had my favorite characters by Jody Hedlund ever. Elise is a sensible heroine, compassionate, and vulnerable. While Thornton has a healthy ambition to prove himself to his father, when he is with Elise he sees himself as the man that he wants to be. I also really loved the townspeople like that Grays, Fanny, and Reinhold.
Well written and fast-paced it makes for a hard book to put down, and I instantly liked the characters and could help but cheer for them all the way through. The ending came together well, with surprise twists of suspense for a thrilling climax. I liked how this book showed a different side of the Orphan Train and Children’s Aid Society, it was well researched and I loved every minute of it. I’m excited to read about Elise’s sisters as they make their own way in the world in the coming installments of the series. Highly recommend!

I’ve never met an Elizabeth Camden that I didn’t love, and this one is no exception. Incredibly well written as well as researched, set at the turn of the 20th century, when food impurities were at a dangerous high due to few laws regulating disclosure and safety, this novel introduces the passionate and principled Delacroix family. I love how Ms. Camden brings the politics and advances of bygone eras to life in a way that brings new appreciation for the things that we take for granted everyday.
Grey has worked hard for his success, he has devoted much of his life to his business in order to provide for his younger siblings Luke and Caroline, whom he practically raised. But underneath his intimidating outer layers, he is a man who is deeply loyal to his family and who has the grace and determination to keep growing, and always strive for better whether in his business or personal life. I admired his devotion to his siblings, he always wants the best for them, and there is no distance he would not go for them.
Annabelle brings a bright enthusiasm wherever she goes, she is passionate about learning new things, is devoted to her sister and her country. She always is encouraging others to find joy in the everyday. Despite disappointments, she always tries to look on the bright side, she relies on her faith to hold her fast as she struggles to provide for herself and her sister, as well as to serve her country even if it means betraying a friend.
Luke and Caroline shine as Grey slowly begins to see the man and woman that they have grown up to be in their own rights, each blessed with a double dose of charm. Both are so much more than they appear at a single glance.
Overall, an absolutely thrilling introduction to what is sure to be a fantastic trilogy, I already love Luke and Caroline! Annabelle is faced with many hard choices, as she fights to stay true to her beliefs and her family. I loved the glimpse into life at the turn of the century amidst the buzz of the nation’s capital, I’d never thought that the Agriculture Administration and the history of food adulteration would be so truly fascinating. Annabelle and Grey have captivating chemistry that leaps from the page, most evident in their engagingly clever dialogue and how their personalities complement each other perfectly. Annabelle’s sister Elaine faces her fears and blazes her own trail, not letting her limitations choose for her. A thoroughly riveting read, with heroes who jump from the page, high stakes, faith, and romance. You won’t want to miss it!

Overall, this was such a fun book that really kept the pages turning. I loved every moment of it, I actually read this in one sitting! Highly recommend!
